It was great to be home Saturday night. Heather, Michelle, and I hit the "wall" though and just needed to crash thru the night in order to feel alive and rejuvenated. I also shaved some of the weeks growth off my face and it definitely made me feel better. The goal will be to continue to keep shaven what can be seen, while continuing to work on the unseen beard (beneath the collar).
Today I start physical therapy on my upper body and arm strength. Everything from my waist below feels normal and strong. My upper body however is still in a lot of pain (nerve pain) and there are many bruised and weak places that need work. I'm excited to begin working on some of that again.
The most difficult things for me right now are: nerve pain, eating mushy food, trying to stay awake or engaged in conversation after meds have been administered.
The easiest things for me right now are: depending on my two angel nurses (Heather and Michelle), enjoying the company of friends in the neighborhood.
